Mr. Warshavski is the chief legal officer of Lumenis and previously held a similar position with Given Imaging, now part of Medtronic. Lumenis and Given Imaging are well-known medical device companies in Israel. Mr. Warshavski was part of the leadership team in some of Israel’s largest healthcare M&A deals in recent years, including the sale of Given Imaging for approximately $1 billion in 2014, the sale of Lumenis to Baring Private Equity Asia for approximately $1.2 billion in 2020 and the sale of Lumenis’ surgical business to Boston Scientific Corporation for approximately $1.1 billion in 2021.
Mr. Warshavski has experience in building and managing global legal teams and as General Counsel is responsible for all legal, corporate governance, IP and legal compliance aspects. Mr. Warshavski has also been active in adopting legal operations initiatives within the legal department under his leadership.
Prior to moving in-house, Mr. Warshavski was a corporate attorney in the New York law firm Proskauer Rose LLP. Mr. Warshavski holds an LLM degree from Duke University School of Law in North Carolina and an LLB, Magna Cum Laude, from the College of Management School of Law in Tel Aviv. He is a member of the Israeli and New York bars and of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
