Manuel Mesquita is currently the Head of Legal Corporate at Auchan Retail International, overseeing corporate law for Auchan Holding and its subsidiaries, comprising over 350 entities. His responsibilities include managing corporate operations, governance, and day-to-day legal demands, ensuring compliance across the organization.

Manuel has extensive expertise in corporate law, governance, compliance, taxation, and real estate. He has been instrumental in significant corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and large-scale financial operations.

Earlier in his career, Manuel worked on financing and development projects, including €452 million for Grupo Generg’s wind farms and the Freeport Outlet Centre in Lisbon. His expertise spans tax claims, property law, and corporate finance, making him a key figure in complex legal operations for multinational organizations.
