Maya is an innovation leader who is passionate about legal industry transformation and client centricity. With a unique background spanning law, VC, tech, behavioral science, and change design, Maya delivers technology, process, and business growth services worldwide. She helped launch Nextlaw Labs/Nextlaw Ventures, the first tech-focused legal innovation catalyst at Dentons, where she served as chief growth officer for six years. Currently, Maya consults with corporate legal departments, law firms, and ALSPs on tech adoption, strategic partnerships, market positioning, and transformation initiatives to advance the legal industry through achievable, sustainable, and scalable innovation. Maya also advises high-growth legal tech startups, investor and venture funds, and is a founder and executive director at the Justice Technology Association, a nonprofit trade group supporting entrepreneurs building technology to close the access to justice gap. Maya is a frequent speaker at conferences and on broadcasts, and writes on legal tech and innovation. She was named to 2023's FastCase 50, one of five “Influential Women of Legal Tech” by ILTA in 2020, a “Woman Leading Legal Tech” by The Technolawgist in 2019, and an ABA Legal Technology Resource Center “Woman of Legal Tech 2018” for her work in designing, promoting, and driving the future of the legal industry around the globe.
