Lawyer, entrepreneur, and lifelong tech learner, Paula is the CEO of Neur.on, the world's first LegalTech startup empowering lawyers in their translation tasks thanks to a suite of specialized AI agents.
Having passed the bar in Zurich, completed an MBA at INSEAD and a data-science course at EPFL, she created LexMachina, the first Neural Machine Translation Engine for Swiss lawyers in 2020. Two years later, with the support of a select panel of investors from the international LegalTech and legal publishing industries, she founded Neur.on as a spinoff of her first company, Hieronymus – Translations by Lawyers for Lawyers, a high-end legal language service provider. In 2024, Neur.on was awarded an Innosuisse Startup Innovation Project and won the Swiss FinTech Awards in the “Early Stage” category from Finanz & Wirtschaft.
Paula is the Vice-President of the Swiss LegalTech Association and was named “Digital Shaper 2023” by the Swiss economic journal Bilanz and “one of 100 personalities who shaped French-Speaking Switzerland in 2023” by Le Temps. She has been nominated to be a member of the 2025-2028 Strategy Committee of the Haute Ecole Spécialisée de Suisse occidentale (University of applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland).
